Good Visits, A College Fair, and Spaghetti With Meatballs

This first week has continued to go well.

In addition to visiting schools and attending my first college fair of the season at BGSU Firelands, I’ve gotten to spend time with my family. Good stuff. There’s no one I’d rather hang with than my wife. And my two girls have such fun personalities, making laughter not at all uncommon around our house. And almost two weeks ago we celebrated our newest child’s birth. Our first boy – adding a different flavor to the kid population of our house! And it’s great. His name is Liam. With his oldest sister Audrey, and the next in line, Eden, he should be in good – albeit ornery – hands growing up.

Back to admissions talk. I’ve visited with some great students this week. One highlight, among others, was Stryker High School. That group was on it! Asking questions, asking questions and asking questions. That’s what I like. It’s better for all of us when that’s happening. They aren't falling asleep and my voicebox isn't in automode! Good group.

And just when I thought it'd be hard to top that kind of interaction, I wind up at Van Wert High School where the group was right on par with the Stryker students. And earlier today, Lincolnview High was on it also.

There were other good good things, but I won't make this post overly long naming them.

One last thing. Had dinner with my parents as I was around my hometown for the BGSU Firelands College Fair. Went to Jim's Pizza Box in Huron! Used to go there growing up - although it was the one in Milan that I frequented, not Huron. But I still got to eat some good 'ol spaghetti with (two) meatballs. Whewww, it was good. And so was my time with Mom and Dad.
