GoMad!

Happy Monday, everybody!
Today is November 9th, which means Thanksgiving is rapidly approaching.
...which means Christmas isn't far behind at all! I hope all you seniors out there have had a chance to start sending in applications to the colleges and universities you are most interested in...this IS the season! If you set a goal for yourself to have all your applications submitted by Christmas break, you will have completed step 1 of your search successfully and will have less on your plate in 2010 (just a thought!)
Anyway, this past weekend was GREAT for myself, Jessica (the Bluffton campus visit coordinator,) and Eli and Ashtyn (current students) because we got to travel to Ft. Wayne, Indiana for the annual GoMad conference. Basically this is a yearly gathering of youth groups for fun activities, worship and fellowship. Every year they have a band play during the main sessions, and this year it was the group Sevenglory. These guys are SWEET. Our Bluffton booth just happened to be right next to theirs, and we ended up chatting with them on and off all weekend long. Not only are they some fabulous musicians, but they also have hearts for The Lord and a passion for sharing Him with others. Eli ended up running the sound for the last session, and we gave out tons of Bluffton shirts and candy. Overall, a great experience and an event I'm sure we will continue to attend in the future. We always enjoy meeting new people:)
Here on campus, things are still buzzing, as our volleyball team hosted the conference tournament this weekend. And since they WON, they will head to the NCAA tournament as well! A BIG shout out to coach Steve Yarnell and all the girls on the team for their fabulous skills and awesome success!
Our students are busy with their studies, sports and group activities, but Thanksgiving break will be here soon enough and they'll all head home to celebrate with family and friends. In the meantime, the Bluffton admissions office wishes everyone a wonderful fall!
-Andrea
