Summer summer summer!

June greetings to everyone! Andrea here, back in the office after several weeks of summer vacation to Idaho (where I'm originally from) and Boston (the picture above.) Good times! Now it's time to get ready for our two remaining summer orientations (June 26 and August 14.) We'll be helping our incoming first year students register for their fall classes, get their parking passes and student IDs and answering any lingering questions about what to expect in the coming year. It's a lot of fun for us admissions counselors to mingle with the students we've gotten to know over the past months and help them take their last steps toward college! I'm also excited to be taking my camera to these busy days, capturing the people and events and posting them on our Bluffton Facebook page. This is something we've created for incoming students as a way for them to get in touch with each other and create friendships even before they get here in August. It definitely helps calm the nerves on move-in day when you know you already have friends waiting for you!

If you're gearing up for your own college search in the next year (or even two,) now is a GREAT time to hop on college websites for more information. It's also helpful to schedule a few summer visits to get a feel for the layout of some of the colleges you may be interested in.
