Wow, although its only been a week since my last post, I have been all over Central and Eastern Pennsylvania. This week, I had the opportunity to visit three Mennonite High Schools: Philadelphia Mennonite, Belleville Mennonite, and Lancaster Mennonite. I truly enjoyed my visit to each one of these schools. I was able to participate in a chapel presentation at two of the schools. I really enjoyed being able to present in chapel as it allowed for students to connect a face and name with Bluffton University. In fact, one of the girls that I met is coming this week for our For Seniors Only overnight visit. :)
Tomorrow, I will be traveling to Christopher Dock Mennonite High School. I am looking forward to my visit at Christopher Dock as I know a few people who went to school there...it will be nice to see where they went to high school. After CD, I will be traveling to Harrisonburg, Virginia. On Tuesday, I will be visiting Eastern Mennonite High School in Harrisonburg. I am looking forward to this visit as well. EMHS is located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. As you can see, I will have lots of driving to do this week, but am looking forward to it!
In my last post I mentioned one of my favorite aspects of being an Admissions Counselor. Another of my favorite aspects is that I get to travel to different Mennonite Churches. Today, I attended Grace Mennonite in Lansdale, PA. If you ever have the chance to visit Grace Mennonite Church in Lansdale, do so!! The people at Lansdale were very friendly and really welcomed me into their church. It is the people such as those at Grace Mennonite in Lansdale that make me enjoy the church visitation aspect of my job.
Well, since this is my last night in Pennsylvania, I believe I am going to head to the mall and a nearby restaurant; I am going to enjoy my last night here. :)
Until next time....
Andy
