Hello from PA!

Hello all from PA! I have been to many places and have met many wonderful people since my last post, which has been quite awhile.

I am currently in Pennsylvania, where I will be visiting each of the Mennonite High Schools. From here, I will be off to Virginia before I head back to Bluffton. I enjoyed my drive from Bluffton to Pennsylvania today, as today was a bright and sunny Fall day. That coupled with the colorful leaves on the trees made my drive to be very colorful.

Although there are many things that I like about my job as a Bluffton Admissions Counselor, my favorite thing by far is meeting and interacting with prospective students at their high schools and at college fairs. Through my travels to Pennsylvania (the first time around), Iowa, Illinois, and Indiana, I have been able to meet and have conversations with some really cool people. I always enjoy finding out which activities people are involved with. It has been one of my greatest pleasures to inform students that Bluffton offers many of the same athletics, music opportunities, and student organizations that they are currently involved with in high school.

While many of the people that I chat with on the road like what I have to say about Bluffton University, my response always is, "Come and visit us...it is the only true way of knowing if Bluffton is for you." With that, I hope to see each of the students that I meet on the road visiting campus. I know from my personal experience that visiting Bluffton's campus is a must. After all, my campus visit is what sold me on Bluffton. When you come for a visit, you will be able to meet with us in Admissions, meet a coach, meet a professor, sit in on a class, take a tour, etc. If you are considering attending Bluffton, I recommend that you take a few minutes to fill out the visit request form (http://www.bluffton.edu/admission/visit/visitreg/). When you visit campus, you will truly be able to experience the warm and embracing community of Bluffton University!
