When someone asks you what you're going to major in, do you want to scream? Are you feeling pressure from every angle to choose some path of study...and fast? Has the once-awesome vastness of academic variety slowly become a wasteland of indecision?

If so...RELAX. Really!

If liberal arts institutions like Bluffton University are on your college search list, you're in a great place. Our goal is to create opportunities for growth and experience geared toward each student's strengths and interests, which is why many of our students will pair the major they decide to pursue with a minor or concentration, independent studies and internships. Bluffton provides every student with an academic advisor who supports their progress, makes suggestions and provides feedback as each year progresses. Students also enjoy friendships with their professors and various staff members across campus, which increases their support pool both during school and after graduation.

As a senior in high school, you may be 100% sure what you want to study in college, and that's great! But if you are one of the thousands of students who either have no idea or are interested in more than one program, the guidance of a liberal arts institution can be just what you need. We want every student to graduate with a degree they are excited about, and experiences within that discipline that help them stand head-and-shoulders above others when they begin job searching or as they continue with higher education. Our on-campus Career Development Center is devoted to helping students make the transition to life after college, with resume assistance, help with job or graduate school searches and access to job fairs and other networking opportunities.
